EXPOSING WITCHCRAFT/FAMILIAR SPIRIT OPERATION

It is necessary for us to have a deeper and clearer understanding of what witchcraft and familiar spirit are all about. Information will be sought for, primarily from the Bible and supported by other sources. The first thing that must be made clear is that witchcraft is one of the oldest and cross continental demonic phenomenon, which has a history of its wickedness across the globe. It is a part of the strategies of the devil for some people to try to deny its existence today because for centuries it was a major issue even all over Europe. It is not an Africa problem but a global menace.

Witchcraft by simple working definition is a means by which human beings work magic to bring practical changes by their will and using supernatural means. This is different from sorcery, because it is handed over supernaturally unlike sorcery that can be acquire through study and apprenticeship. Witches operate a complex network of cooperation cross continentally, and are believed to control and work with other supernatural beings. In addition, they are believed to work mostly at night and have supernatural power of flight. These concepts were as common in tribal Africa, Asia, and America as in pre-modern Europe. From 1400s to 1600s, witch hunting and killings were very common all over Europe, Britain, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, and Poland, France, Sweden, and Austria territories. In 1589, the tiny German state of Quedlinburg burned 133 women in one day (Ronald Hutton).

It will be necessary to employ scriptural survey in understanding practice of witchcraft and the unholy operation of the familiar demons. The Bible gives great light, and pointer to understanding some of the hidden things of darkness. Let’s attempt some exegetic survey of some portions of the scripture that directly talk about these diabolical practices

“And they shall say unto you, seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and mutter….” (Isa 8:19)

The description, “familiar spirit” is from the Hebrew word “ov” and it is in a feminine gender case in its usage in the Old Testament. It has the connotation of necromancy, divination or conjuring of spirits. A person with a familiar spirit is like a medium, and this demon spirit is able to mimic other personalities. Sometimes, familiar spirit can be guardian demon associated strongly with an individual, family or clan. Most witches operate with familiar spirits. A good example in the Old Testament is the popular witch of Endor in 1 Sam 28:7. It is possible for a person operating with familiar spirit to use another person’s face to operate. It is not every face you see in your dream attacking you that is the real person, sometimes witches mimic other people’s image to launch attack.

The word wizard in this verse is from the Hebrew word “Yiddeoni”, and it is from the root word “Yada”, meaning “to know”. It is in the masculine gender case. A wizard is believed to have esoteric knowledge and can through supernatural mean practice magic to manipulate nature and people.

Two major practices of these demonic people are specifically mentioned in this particular verse – peeping and muttering. By peeping, the idea is more of spiritual ability through which they are able to see beyond the natural. This is one of the reasons why they are able to practice divination. Through demonic peeping they are able to see people’s future and destiny and consequently launch demonic attacks ahead of time to destroy destiny and life. This should inform your strategic prayer, blindfolding those peeping into your affair through demonic means. Muttering, this is related to the Hebrew word “At” (whisper), and it is used in this verse to indicate “oracle mongering” or incantation. In conjuring, and demonic projection, certain magical formulas are muttered or recited. Through muttering, demons are directly invoked to accomplish certain evil assignments. You must remember that you have a prophetic mandate to condemn every tongue that rise against you in judgment.

Another revealing portion of the Bible that talks about this evil phenomenon is a portion of Zechariah’s vision.

“Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, what be these? And he answered me; these are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. And the Lord showed me four carpenters. And said I, what come these to do? And he spake, saying, these are the horns which have scattered Judah, so no man did lift up his head: but these are come to frighten them, to cast out the horn of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over land of Judah to scatter it.” (Zech 1:18-21).

The prophet was shown a vision of the spiritual reality of Israel and Judah’s oppression. The horns are symbols of the terrorizing powers, making Israel and Judah to stay down. In as much as these are representations of gentile’s nations oppressing Israel, it can help in understanding another dimension to evil forces fighting against us. In warfare prayers, you can pray against every evil horn fighting you. This scenario can be a spiritual representation of the physical real situation. Do not forget that what happens in the spiritual manifest in the physical. Four people were seen in that vision of Zechariah holding hammers specifically to shake frighten and break down the evil horns. In this warfare you are launching, may heaven release Holy Ghost hammer on every evil horn and spiritual installation that are set up against you.

Prophet Nahum adds another dimension to our understanding in his prophetic declaration against “Nineveh”.

“Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well favored harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.” (Nah 3:4)

Two major things are identified with witchcraft here, selling of nation and family. Is it not interesting to discover that witchcraft can be used to spiritually sell nations and families? Can you now see why sometimes you don’t why the growth and prosperity of some families are? Every power that wants to transact with the glory and destiny of my family should fall and die!

What has Ezekiel to contribute to this important discussion?

“And say, thus saith the Lord God; woe to the women that sew pillow to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? ...and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and save souls alive that should not live…? Where fore thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against your pillows, wherewith you there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.” (Ez 13:18-21)

This Ezekiel passage is more elaborate in its description of what is done by witches and what witchcraft basically is. What is done by witches is soul hunting. The target of witches is to keep perpetually in prison evil people so they will not change, and to torment and afflict the innocents. The prophet says they use magic wristbands, and scarves to have power over other people. They want the power of death and life to use it for their own benefits (Good News Bible). It is also indicated that they have power of flight.

Witchcraft is frowned at in the Bible; it is an abomination before God. The church is to fight whatever is of the devil, including witchcraft. We have spiritual resources in Christ to destroy all the works of the devil. It is high time you rise up to the task, and fight every power and spirit worrying you, your family, and your land. Every demonic manipulation over your life and destiny must be stopped by fire by anointing. Every spiritual trader operating in your family and in your business must be stopped and disciplined, for in this warfare campaign, power will surely change hand! Holy Ghost hammer is coming over every invisible arrow and installation of darkness over your life. After this campaign, you will see great victories, for all your enemies shall fall never to rise again!

I see you overcome all your household wickedness, and all the familiar spirits working against you. This small material contains great information that will facilitate, in a fast track manner, your long awaited deliverance. Make it your companion prayer guide, and let the revelations in it help you experience lasting liberation. The Lord will begin to expose every agent of darkness around you, and they shall be disgraced. Remember that this is spiritual warfare; your targets are not humans but spirit entities operating through human and non-human against you.
HINTS – The focus of this campaign is to attack the attackers and destroy the destroyers. It’s a campaign of desperation, to invoke the divine wrath on evil forces that are trying to frustrate and destroy you. You have the prophetic mandate to take the war to the gates of hell and destroy every destroyer. Arise and fight! (Rev 12:11)

PRAYER GUIDE – These are pneuma (Spirit) guided prayer arsenal, automated by the Holy Spirit, the name and the Blood of Jesus, and released against clearly identified demon targets. Be assured of their efficacy for a divine decree is backing their release. “And behold, God Himself is with us for our captain, and His priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you” 11 Chron 13:12.

RIGHT STANDING – You first need right standing before God. Confess your sins and ask for divine forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus. It is in humbling yourself before God that you can resist the devil and he will flee. Ps 32:5, Jm 4:27

RIGHT UNDERSTANDING – You must not fight like someone boxing the air. Pray investigatory prayers that will expose every hidden thing of darkness in your life (Zech 1:16-21). Be aware of the divine resources at your disposal and make good use of them. Be aware of the fact that:

The weapons you are using are unimaginably powerful. 11Cor 10:4

Angels are divinely discharge to take charge of negative and dangerous situations you may be facing. Ps 91:10-11

Although the enemies fight against you but they will never prevail against you. Jer 1:18-19

Everything concerning you is protected from insurrection and attack of the evil ones. Ps 125:3

There is a divine decree that no one shall be able to stand before you. Josh 1:5

There is no enchantment, or divination against you. Num 23:23

Your God can not lie; everything He said concerning you will come to pass. Num 23:19

PURSUE, OVERTAKE AND LAUNCH THE ASSAULT – You are now drawing the battle and launching the assaults. This is the offensive session of the warfare, and this can only be done after you have asked for divine cleansing and empowerment. God’s warfare anointing is now available to you to enforce divine orders and decrees. Let the following prayer points guide you:

Revoke and destroy every Satan legality and right to attack (e.g. covenant) over your life.

2)Break and cancel all known and unknown covenant and curse that are negatively working in your life (may be inherited/ancestral, reinforced, or transferred).

3)Destroy witch stool and every other demonic installation that are established against you.

4)Shatter completely all demonic network, demonic ties and evil connections in your life.

5)Command all your enemies disarmed.

6)Arrest and render completely incapacitated every evil strongman operating in and against your life.

7)Withdraw the affair of your life from evil record.

8)Decree that all satanic mechanism aimed at changing your destiny be frustrated and destroyed.

9)Command every invisible evil river flowing into your life to dry up.

10)Destroy every delegated oppressor and corporate evil army set against you.

11)Intercept and destroy demon weapons fashioned against you (Isa 8:19).

12)Cancel every negative prophecy issued against you.13)Cast every demonic executor of evil decision against your life into dead sleep.

14)Direct into destruction all demonic emissaries detailed against you.

15)Confuse and confound informant and liaison demons operating against your life.

16)Eliminate every elemental demon working against you and command their search light roasted.

17)Set ablaze demonic bunkers and power stations of the devil.

18)Release God’s fire on every spiritual barrier and barricade of your life.

19)Reject every demonic claim over your life.

20)Command every weapon fired at you to backfire.21)Decree every power of opposition against you to collapse instantly.

22)Stop and destroy all demonic interference in your dream. Prov 3:24, Ps 91:5-6

23)Neutralize and eject by Holy Ghost fire astral poison ad demonic deposit from your body and soul.

24)Destroy every symptom and ordinance of sickness and infirmity in your body

25)Decree that your body is uninhabitable for demons and sicknesses

26)Command all bondage of inherited sickness and problem of your life cancelled vanquished.

27)Decree every evil shadow over and around your life melted.

28)Command every devourer and demonic sucker to vanish from your labor.

29)Render every counsel, plan, desire, expectation, device, operation, imagination, and manipulation of the enemy against your life null and void.

30)I pursue, overtake and recover all confiscated and stolen properties from spiritual robbers.

NOW CLAIM AND RECOVER – These are specific prophetic declarations directly taken from the scripture. By faith appropriate them in prayer.

1)Lets your light shine upon me, lead me by your light. Ps 43:3, Job 22:28

2)By your light I walk through all darkness of my life. Job 29:3

3)Lord let your power and presence go with me. Deut 20:4, Jer 30:11

4)Oh Lord, visit me now and perform your good word! Jer 29:10

5)Lord, preserve me from all evil and attacks of the enemy. Ps 121:7, 16:1

6)Fill me, oh Lord with Joy and peace because I believe in you. Rm 15:13

7)I receive divine prosperity. Neh 2:20

8)Oh Lord, save me to the uttermost. Heb 7:25

9)Be my defense and dwelling place. Ps 90:1

10)Be my stronghold in my day of trouble. Nah 1:7

11)Make me increase oh Lord! 1Thess 3:12

12)Go before me oh Lord and be the strength of my heart! Deut 31:8, Ps 73:26

13)Make all darkness light before me. Isa 42:16

14)Lord, stand with me and strengthen me. 2Tim 4:17

15)Oh Lord, be gracious unto me! Isa 30:19

16)Come to my rescue and never keep silent about my case. Ps 50:3

17)Be with as the captain of all my battles. 2 Chron 13:12

18)Be my help and leave me not. Ps 27:9, Heb 13:5

19)Let me be full of power by your Spirit. Mic 3:8

20) Jesus, bless me with peace. Ps 29:11

21)Be my refuge and my portion. Ps 142:5

22) Be my rock and salvation. Ps 62:2

23) Bless me in all my work. Deut 28:8

24) Let my dwelling be a sure dwelling. Isa 32:18

25) Lord, command your blessing upon me. Deut 28:8

26)Remember me o my God for good! Neh 13:31

27)Build wall of fire around me. Zech 2:5

28) Cover me with your wing and let your truth be my shield and buckler. Ps 91:4

29) I receive rest from every side to build and prosper. 2 Chron 14:7

30) Lord, I rest on you, and in your name I go against this battle, let no one prevail against you. 2 Chron 14:11
